Welcome to Talking Across Party Lines.com, the site where people find out how they compare to others in the common prejudices that affect our preferences for national political candidates. The purpose of the site is to foster better dialogue about how we participate in American democracy; the more we can be honest about the things that are affecting our votes, the greater chance we have in creating the political system that accurately gives us the results that we collectively most want! This site was constructed out of the recognition that many people are hungry for opportunities to go beyond the divisions of politics, race, religion, and so on that are too much a part of American daily life and public discourse. But truly getting beyond these divisions does not mean pretending they are not there; it means better understanding how these divisions affect us individually, talking with each other about them, and creating a greater sense of collaboration each other within our companies, organizations, and communities. One written resouce for this is The Little Book of Dialogue For Difficult Subjects, whose web site is www.bookofdialogue.com. Another resource is The DWC Group (www.thedwcgroup.com), which is a team of highly expert consultants who specialize in helping organizations that want to make smarter decisions by effieciently bringing more brainpower to bear. Another resource for improving public discourse about social divisions is Dr. David Campt - AKA The RaceDoctor (www.racedoctor.org) , who frequently appears in as a media personality and public speaker on topics related to social divisions, diversity, and social inclusiveness.
